Hi Lousie, I was given your name by Mark Nowell who is a good friend.
A very good Cypriot friend who has a good piece of land in Parekklisia wants to enter a deal whereby we pay him what is a very reasonable sum and he can then build 2 houses from this money and one will be ours with all deeds, this was actually our idea and he has finally been persuaded. We are renting one of his houses so he has built this and his own.
The land has roads, electricity, water etc and he has all deeds.
Can we just pay VAT on this land or will it have to be on the build as well?
If we pay VAT just on land I guess we will have to get this land registered which will hold up the build and we are keen to make this happen quickly?
Is there any tax on building?
I know I need to visit you once things have moved along a little but I just want to get a bigger picture for now.
