SURVEY |
On a purchase it is essential that the physical state of the property is investigated prior to contracts being signed. Once this has taken place, the parties are committed to the transaction. You will not be able to complain to the seller of any defects you discover after exchange of contracts. You may therefore wish to have a survey carried out on your behalf.
The valuation carried out on behalf of a mortgagee is to check that the property is an adequate security for the mortgage loan. It may well not discover defects which you would wish to know about.
We can arrange for a survey to be carried out on your behalf, if you wish. If you are buying a property off plan then a surveyor should also be engaged to make regular stage reports to you to ensure that the property is being constructed correctly and that your dream home will not turn into a living nightmare. |
